Friendship Partner
LIFE IS BETTER CONNECTED
The Friendship Partner Program encourages students and their American Friends to connect several times each month to have English conversations, enjoy meals together, attend events and share all kinds of mutual interests.
In busy times, just a text, phone call, or Facebook message is enough to keep the friendship growing. Friendship Partners often include their international friend in family activities, and international students can often find a “home away from home” in these friendships.
The Friendship Program exists to encourage the exchange of culture and friendship between international students and community partners.
SEE WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS SAID...
I love being able to interact with international students from all over the world. You get to make lots of new friends and have a lot of great new experiences with the people you meet through the Friendship Partner Program. You come away not just friends, but more like family.

I believe my life is richer when I have friends from different cultures and I learn different perspectives of seeing the world, of seeing things, learn about other cultures and I’m honored to represent the US.
Sometimes I invite them over to my house to help with my garden and we cook and do something else together. I’m honored to share God’s love with someone and to make them feel welcome here.
