There are many ways to volunteer to help with International Students Inc. at UT-Arlington
In addition to volunteering in a home group, there are opportunities to volunteer with the Big Howdy, the Friendship Partner Program as well as special events.
Opportunities
Sign up as a volunteer to be a friendship partner at the beginning of the school year. Develop a relationship with an international student and share your American culture with them. This is an incredible chance to make a difference globally from right where you are! All you need is a willingness to love and serve students who have been sent to us from around the world.
We have lots of special events and trips during the school year! Including special retreats, parties and outings to different places around Texas. For details about specific events see the Calendar and click below to learn more about our events during the semester!
At Home Group you will meet new international friends. We always eat together, sing some American and Christian Songs or play some great group games to get to know each other. Then we break off and have discussion groups. Join us on Friday nights!
Sign up as a volunteer for the Big Howdy in August and January. There are many ways to serve throughout the Big Howdy: serve food at the Big Howdy Party, pick students up from the airport, donate furniture and many more! Check out the Big Howdy website for all of the ways you can participate.
